Thien Kim Truong is a writer and contemplative practitioner whose work explores what it means to meet ourselves with honesty, gentleness, and care.

Her writing is rooted in mindfulness and the simple but often challenging practice of being present with our inner lives. Drawing inspiration from the teachings of mindfulness teacher Thích Nhất Hạnh, as well as from her own lived experience, she reflects on themes of vulnerability, emotional awareness, attachment, and the quiet process of coming to understand ourselves more deeply.

Rather than offering quick answers or self-improvement strategies, Thien Kim’s work invites a slower and more compassionate way of relating to what we feel. Many of the experiences we struggle with—confusion, longing, tenderness, anger, or uncertainty—are not problems to fix, but parts of our human experience that can be held with awareness and care.

Through writing, reflection, and conversation, she hopes to create a gentle space for people who are curious about themselves and who feel drawn toward a more mindful way of living.

Thien Kim was born in Toronto, Canada, where she continues to live and practice.
